a Word from the Sheriff – Aug 2024

The Thank You’s to the Pastor comes with a Warning.

Pastor, we appreciate you, we appreciate you being there for your Church, guiding your Church, teaching your Church, showing your Church the way, but Pastor, please be careful; do not let others abuse you for their gain.

Pastor, your Church love to hear you preaching the Word, breaking open the Word and making it clear to understand, but Pastor, be careful of those who wants to prescribe to you on what to preach or what to say.

Pastor, your Church appreciate you spending time in the word, researching scripture, and gaining insight, but please be careful when using other sources like the internet, or somebody else’s interpretation of the Word. Always rely on and trust God’s Holy Spirit to enlighten you.

Pastor, your Church thank you for praying with your Church, but Pastor, do not let others waste your time or wear you out, because they are often too lazy to pray for themselves.

Pastor, your Church love the time you spend with them, the evenings you visited your Church, the long chats after the service, but please be careful not to neglect the ones closest to you, your spouse, and your children. Be a spouse and a parent to your own, before taking care of your church’s needs.

Pastor, your Church are grateful for everything you have done for them, but please be careful that you do not end up being so busy that your relationship with God suffers.

Pastor, Reverend, GOD LOVES YOU with an everlasting love.
